At Wednesday’s regular meeting, the planners were unable to determine if the Goode Subdivision “substantially” complied with the county’s subdivision ordinance. At issue is whether a significant portion of the 14 lots contain land with slope in excess of 14 per cent. Should this be the case, Goode might have to increase his lot size to 25 acres in order to comply with subdivision regulations.
Back in 1976, when Goode’s application was first considered, county engineer Fanning Baumgardner computed figures on the amount of land over 14 per cent slope in each lot. However, the data wasn’t saved following the planners’ original vote to deny the subdivision rezoning.
At Wednesday’s meeting, the planners agreed to ask Baumgardner to recompute that information and present his findings at a special meeting. The planners also expect to have a report from
