Held In April
Everyone in the county was ready for snow last weekend long before the weatherman’s forecast. The reason—the Rappahannock Hunt’s pointto-point races were scheduled to go off on Saturday and it’s become almost traditional for the races to be interrupted by snow.
There was no break with tradition this year.
Due to the bad weather, Rappahannock’s point-topoint have now been postponed until Sunday, April 27.
One last question for the weatherman. Rappahannock gets dumped on for its pointto-points every first Saturday in March for the past few years. Why then are Saturday in February —always blessed with false spring and temFebruary—always blessed with false spring and temperatures in the 70’s? What are we doing wrong?
