effect. This law states that no open burning can be done within 300 feet of woodlands—or any material capable of spreading a fire to woodlands—except between 4 p.m. and 12 midnight.
The law applies to burning from March 1 through May 15. State Forest Wardens, the County Sheriff, and other officials do nbt have the authority to issue permits allowing burning which takes exception to the law.
