third year down here, I cannot recall going through such lengthy unnecessary waste of time in my life. We heard testimony from every nook and corner of the State. It got so bad I made a comment on a local t. v. interview that I had gas up to my ears and what was needed now was a case of Turns. Don’t, you know the very next day a gentleman , from Arlington sent me a roll in tf»e mail. We have a definite understanding: if the Senate tries to increase it, it will be killed in the House.

A Senate bill to decrease the limit of indebtedness by a locality from 18 percent to 10 percent will be voted on by the House tomorrow. Anxious to hear the discussion on this one.

A Senate bill to close schools on Election Day was killed in a House Committee. The cost of this was prohibitive.

Every Session is opened with a prayer by ministers from all over the State. Reverend Bean, an Episcopal minister from Lynchburg, gave this one, “Lord thou hast given us a mind, Lord thou hast given us a mouth, Now Lord help us to keep them connected.” See you next week.
