Susan Lynn Kunkle of Alexandria escaped injury Sunday evening when she struck a bull as she travelled north on Route 231 near Sperryville. According to Trooper R. A. Baines, the animal, owned by James W. Fletcher Jr., also escaped injury. However, the vehicle, a 1973 Toyota, was severely damaged, said Baines.

Two Sperryville motorists collided on a curve FebnuKj 22 on Route 612 near Sperryville, according to Baines. Lois Ann Thomas operating a 1976 Chevrolet pickup owned by Jerry Lee Thomas, struck Roy Atha Alther, also of Sperryville, driving a 1973 Mercury, said the officer. She was cited for failing to drive to the right of the roadway.
