Beef referendum results have been released by Tom G. Taylor, Manager of the Rappahannock ASCS office.
In Rappahannock County 130 producers registered to vote and 105 ballots were cast. The results were 5 for and 100 against the Research and Information Program.

Michael M. Massie of Washington was elected to the board of directors at the Southern States annual membership meeting held February 22 in Front Royal.
More than 225 stockholder-members and their families attended the session. C. M. Athey, Jr., manager of Southern States Front Royal Co-op, reported that the operation’s business ypj^me for the past year totaled $1,550,000.
During a special recognition ceremony for retiring board members, H. S. Barksdale of Flint Hill was honored.
