Under capital outlay in the recommended budget, Bloomer includes musical instruments, emergency lighting, installation of underground gas tanks, site preparation for the new school bus garage and a higher fence to screen the bleachers at the high school baseball field as well as the new modular unit for the elementary school. Capital outlay costs total $26,070 in the basic and $44,740 in the recommended.
In judging revenue estimates to support the proposed 1980-81 budget. Bloomer explained that his projections give both a high and a low figure that can be expected from the state. The actual amount, he said, won’t be known until final action of the General Assembly on the education bills.
As a low amount based on the state budget submitted by Gov. Dalton, Blooiner . estimated that the county will receive at least $548,983 in state funds. As a high based on proposals from the state department of education, he estimated $683,934. He added that he expects the actual figure to be somewhere in the middle of the two.
Including federal funds, sales and wine tax revenue and state aid, Bloomer projected that the county may receive as much as $1,014,393 in other than local money and as little as $872,672.
That leaves a minimum of $1,001,742 and a maximum of $1,032,797 to be funded from local sources, according to Bloomer's figures.
