Pendleton
Funeral services for Clarence “Smiley” Pendleton Jr., 46, of Bentonville were conducted Sunday at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home, Front Royal, by the Rev. John Pendleton. Burial was in the Brown-Robinson Cemetery, Bentonville.
Mr. Pentleton died Thursday, February 28, 1980, at Warren Memorial Hospital. Front Royal.
He was born June 26, 1933, at Amissville, son of the late Martra Pendleton Rector. He was a retired employee of the Town of Front Royal and had been a member and deacon of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Surviving with his widow, Anna Byrd Pendleton, are three , sons, Clarence E., Adolphus Lynn and Kovarkk Almanza Pendleton, and a daughter, Jennifer Inez Pendleton, all at home; and one grandchild.
Also surviving are two brothers, James Rector of Haymarket and Thomas Rector of Jefferson ton, and six sisters, Linda James of Washington, D. C., Mary Williams and Evon Mosley, both of Jeffersonton. Betty Tibbs of Reston, Caroline Williams of Falls Church and Doris Richards of Warrenton.
