has thousands and thousands of recordings, some priceless antiques dating back to Tom Edison’s first attempts at reproducing the human voice. He's a regular feature on Ed Walker’s WAMU radio show with an hour every Wednesday afternoon set aside for playing recordings from Pierson’s collection.

This week, Pierson will give up his hour and concentrate instead on the allday tribute to Brooke Johns. With Johns and Ed Walker, he’ll be on television channel 7 at 10 a.m. for the AM Washington show, probably appearing in the latter part of the broadcast.

Then, from 12:30 to 3:30, Pierson and Walker will present Brooke Johns and the music of his times on WAMU-FM radio, 88 on the radio dial.
