Meeting

The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries will conduct a two day meeting in Richmond on February 19 and 20. The initial phase will be conducted as a public hearing beginning at 9:30 AM on Thursday, February 19 at the Howard Johnson Midtown Motor Lodge, 3207 North Boulevard in Richmond.

The Commission has proposed certain changes in their fishing regulations which have been duly published and the public is being invited to comment on the advisability of adopting, or amending and adopting, each of these changes or any parts thereof. Also to be heard on that day will be public comment on game regulation proposals. All public comment will be heard on February 19th and the entire day will be devoted to that end.

On the second day of the meeting, February 20, the Commission will act upon the proposals and comments from the public, conduct routine business and finalize action on matters proposed during the January meeting.

On both days, the meetings will convene promptly at 9:30 AM. Those persons who would like to speak to any of the issues should understand that the meeting on February 19th is reserved for that purpose. On the following day the meeting is open to the public as usual, but will be devoted to business conducted by the Commission.

F & M National Corporation recorded 1980 net income of $2.2 million or $1.29 per share down from $2.3 million or $1.35 per share for 1979.

Fourth quarter net income for 1980 was $750 thousand or 44 cents per share up from $6% thousand or 42 cents per share a year earlier.

Total assets at year end were $209.7 million up from $200.5 million from 1979. During the year total deposits increased from $177.1 million to $184.5 million and net loans declined from $128.4 million to $127.6 million.
