On Tuesday, January 27, the Rappahannock boys basketball teams played Strasburg. Our varsity team was defeated by the score of 64-38 and our junior varsity team won with the score of 43-38.
On Friday, January 30, the varsity team played Luray at home and came away victorious with the score 59-57. The junior varsity team went into two over-times against Luray in a hard fought game but unfortunately fell short in the last few seconds with the score 35-42.

Lt. Cdr. and Mrs. David Craig Welling of Gales Ferry, Conn, announce the birth of a daughter, Anne Katherine, on Monday, February 2, 1981 at the U. S. Submarine Base Medical Center, Groton, Conn. The Wellings have another daughter, Judith Carter, age 2Vi.
Paternal grandparents of the infant are Mr. and Mrs. David G. Welling of Gaithersburg, Md., and maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Moffett Jr. of Washington.
