Wakefield School in Huntly has scheduled its admissions testing for February 20, beginning at 10 a.m.
Candidates for grades 1-3 will be tested between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.; candidates for grades 4-7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and candidates for grades 8-12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Students applying for Wakefield’s Kindergarten will be tested in June.)
Subject area covered by the examinations include reading comprehension, grammatical analysis, composition, mathematics. science, history, geography, and ancient and modern foreign languages.

The Rappahannock County Sheriffs department is investigating the theft of 101 old silver quarters which were taken from the home of Harvey Gordon near Sperryville on January 28, 1981.
Anyone with information of these quarters being cashed in are asked to contact the Sheriff s department.
