Auditions for the senior play, “The Wizard of Oz,” will be held Monday, February 9, after school at the high school.

RCHS has 23 seniors applying to colleges, both four year and two year. To date, the guidance department reports only nine have been accepted.

Thursday, January 29, Mrs. Jamesv. T. Futrell, guidance counsellor, met with parents of this year’s eighth graders to discuss the curriculum offered for RCHS students. He was disappointed in the low number of parents who attended. Mr. Futrell will be sending pamphlets home with eighth graders to help parents decide with their son or daughter the courses they will take.

To assist parents in planning educational programs in grades 9-12 for their children, Mr. Futrell invites parents to come to the school and talk with him. Conferences began this week. To make an appointment, call the high school guidance office between 8:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Stay tuned for next week to see who’s in the spotlight at RCHS.
