The rockets’ red glare and fireworks bursting in air will highlight Washington’s annual Fourth of July Fair again this year, an Independence Day gift from Mr. and Mrs. William Carrigan of Avon Hall.
County residents and visitors are invited to enjoy their picnic suppers on the hillsides while they watch a hound handling demonstration by the Rappahannock Hunt to tunes piped over the public address system provided by Vint Hill Farms. Then fireworks which rival the yearly presentation at the Washington Monument will be set off at dark from Carrigans’ pond. .
