The Stable Band featuring Skip Cowles, Bill Harper and Bob Treanor play fiddle tunes, Irish and English dance tunes, and old time songs and ballads.
They are accomplished musicians playing guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo and concertina. The band is often joined by Lyt Wood on the hammered dulcimer, and other local musicians.
The contra and square dances done this Saturday will all be taught, so beginners are welcome. There are always experienced dancers present to help newcomers.
