One might suppose that a measure with the sweeping consequences of this one would have little chance in Congress. This apparently is not the case. A companion bill in the Senate, S. 158, has been the subject of at least four days of hearings and "eminent” scientists, physicians and others have been found to support it. It is sponsored by a number of prominent senators.
A brief letter to Kenneth Robinson, 7th Congressional District Representative, and similar ones to Senators Harry Byrd, Jr. and John Warner will be welcomed - they want to know what their constituents think.

Volunteers in the Rappahannock Canner Society’s crusade will be guests of honor Saturday at the annual “thank you” dinner sponsored by the Cancer Society’s board of directors.
Volunteers are Invited to bring themselves and their families for a chicken dinner, fun and games at the recreation center on Route 211 at 5:30, rain or shine.
