Seventh District Congressman J. Kenneth Robinson, ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, appeared last Thursday before the Subcommittee on Military Installations and Facilities of the House Armed Services Committee, to question Pentagon requests pending before that panel for clearance of architectural and engineering contracts for a new INSCOM headquarters (U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command) at Fort Meade, Md.

The Congressional decision on the matter will affect the continuance of certain intelligence functions at Vint Hill Farms Station, a U.S. defense-related installation located in Fauquier County.
