Sports affecionados who enjoy a well played athletic contest, horse lovers and polo fans alike are invited to Fannon Field Friday night, June 26, for a double header match between teams from Rappahannock and Middleburg.
The first game will begin in the arena under the lights at 7 p.m. with the second scheduled to start at 9 p.m. There is no admission charge but seating is limited so spectators are requested to bring their own chairs.
Playing for Middleburg will be Argentinian polo professionals Anibal Garcia and Alejandro Roldan. Marcos Bignoli, a three goal pro <from Argentina! who 'recently arrived in Rappahannock to ihanage Bill Fannon’s polo ponies, will take the saddle for the county team.
Fannon Field is located on Route 729 south of Ben Venue. In case of rain, Friday's games will be cancelled.
