The Reverend and Mrs. Richard Oliver Young of Van Buren, Arkansas announce the engagement of their daughter, Jean, to Dr. William Irvin Kilby of Winston-Salem, N.C. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Kilby of Sperryville.
Miss Young was graduated from the University of Arkansas and the University of Virginia Dietetic Intern ship. She is employed by North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

Navy Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class James W. Grehan, Jr. son of Dorthy and James W. Grehan Sr. of Amissville, has returned from a deployment to the Western Pacific.
Grehen is a member of Attack Squadron 113, based at the Naval Air Station Lemoore, Calif. During the seven-month cruise, his squadron was embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger and participated in four “Cope Thunder” exercises in the Philippines as well as numerous Fleet readiness exercises.
Grehan’s squadron flies the A-7E "Corsair” singleseat, light attack bomber, designed for all-weather operations and capable of tactical bombing to provide close air support for ground troops.
