ENLISTS—Dale Ray Cameron of Petersburg, the son of Mrs. Lucille Cameron, formerly of Washington, has enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Basic training will begin June 26 at San Diego, Calif. Dale entered the Navy through the delayed entry program in the Hospital Corpsmen A School Guarantee Program. He graduated this year from Petersburg High School and is the fourth member of his class to enlist in the Navy.

Activities
The Thrift Shop will be open on July 4th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Washington Ladies Auxiliary will have a bake sale beginning at 10 a.m. at the Town Hall. Sandwiches and drinks will also be for sale. Any donations of baked goods will be greatly appreciated.
