The school board can get two "phased-out” cash register models for $1,935, superintendent William Bloomer reported. He noted, however, that the machines are available on a first come, first serve basis. If the phased-out models are no longer in stock, then the board will have to pay a higher price—$3,501—for newer model machines, he said. Yearly maintenance costs will run $450 for the two cheaper machines and $583 for the more expensive models.
