Cannon was taken to Fauquier Hospital by Castleton Rescue Squad where he remained over night. Wednesday he said his chest and arms were still very sore and he felt drained. He also had a singed spot on one foot. “I’m glad I am here to be talking to you this morning’’, said Cannon.
During the same storm which developed quickly, a storage building at the J. P. Dellinger home at Scrabble was also struck by lighning. Damage was minimal through the efforts of a neighbor until the fire department arrived, according to Mrs. Dellinger.
