Geest
Harold Christopher Geest, founder and former owner of Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper, died Thursday, March 1 1, 1982, at the Meadowbrook home in Reva.
Geest, 84, was a native of Prairie View, III., son of the late Henry James and Anna Christopher Geest. He had lived in Culpeper since 1929. He was a former elder and trustee of Culpeper Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hester Thomas Geest; two sons, Christopher Clark Geest of Culpeper and James Gordon Geest of Ellicott City, Md.; a grandson, and one sister. Mrs. Dorothea Linstrom of Culpeper.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Home by the Rev. John S. Farrar, Rev. Robert Marston and Rev. Floyd T. Binns. Burial was in Culpeper Masonic Cemetery.
