In addition to cup winners Hollilay and Hansen, the team included Wynn Voeks, 17, of Huntly, Doug Handley, 15, of Middletown, Morgan Andreae, 10, and Timmy Andreae, 8, both of Overall. All are honor roll students at the school. Each weekend in January and February, the team trained at Bryce Resort in Bayse, Virginia, under Horst Locher, director of the Bryce Mountain Ski School. During their nine-week season, they competed in twenty-two slalom and giant slalom races at Bryce, Homestead, and Massanutten in Virginia, and at Canaan Valley in West Virginia. In USSA races, they took seven first places, five second places, three thirds, and two fourths. In NASTAR competitions, they collected a total of 10 gold, 23 silver, and 19 bronze medals.
