At the regularly-scheduled meeting Wednesday, March 10, the Washington town council discussed several town improvements. All the council members were present.
After the minutes were accepted, Taylor Updike said that he had talked to Diane Bruce about the town’s proposal to donate the swings belonging to the town to the Rappahannock Recreation Association.
The swings are presently behind the old post office building which no longer houses the Washington Post Office.
Bruce had told Updike that the swings could certainly be used by the recreation association and that they would be picked up after the start of construction at the park. Charlie Jenkins, who is in charge of the Washington Water Works, reported that it has not been necessary to
