In response to a question from Brad Fisher, Jenkins said that he was turning the pumps on from time to time to insure their operation.

He reminded the council that the water in Washington would be turned off the following Tuesday (last Tuesday) in order to repair a leak.

Mayor Newbill Miller said that he had checked a culvert that drained Stuart’s field in response to a complaint by Dorothy Hawkins at the last meeting. He added that the culvert was needed as a drain and that it should not be filled in.

Hawkins said that there should be reflectors placed at the site to warn motorists, and Miller agreed to ask the state to do so.

Hawkins recommended to the Council that the town hold clean-up week from April 18 to 24. with a special trash removal on April 24.
