Mrs. Mary Frances Jenkins, 88, of Slate Mills, died Sunday, July 8 at her residence. ■ - ;
A native and lifetime resident of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Annie H. Jenkins. Her husband was the late Fred Garfield Jenkins.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Jenkins of Slate Mills, Mrs. Ethel L. Jenkins of Culpeper and Mrs. Mary F. Tobur of Florence, Arizona; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. r
Graveside service were held on Wednesday, July 11 at Fairview Ceme-, tery by the Rev. Harold Eaton of Reva.
Pallbearers were John W. Jenkins, Jr., John Leake, Charles H. Jenkins, Clinton Covington, Bemie Jenkins, Jr., Robert Lee Kennedy, Walter H. Jenkins, Jr. and Pete Jenkins.
Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
John Huffman
Retired Carpenter
John William Huffman, 86, of Culpeper, died on Thursday, July 5 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
A native of Scrabble, Rappahannock County, he was a retired carpenter and fanner. Mr. Huffman was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughter, Mrs. Lula H. Lucas of Culpeper and Mrs. Margaret Catherine MacDonald of Marshall; four sons, William Kenneth Huffman of Laurel, Md., Joseph Bunyan Huffman of Glen Burnie, Md., Thomas Winfrey Huffman of Aiken, S. C. and Duane Stockton Huffman of Nokesville; 19 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by the Rev. William Lancaster and Rev. John Willis, III. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
