Four area students have received degrees from their schools. They are:
• Brian Anthony Fetzek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Fitzek of Washington. Fetzek was awarded a Bachelor’s in Accounting degree from Lynchburg College during commencement exercises May 12. Fitzek was a member of the Accounting Club while a student at Lynchburg. He is also a graduate of Rappahannock County High School.
• Dana Kristine Purdy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary during commencement exercises. May 13.
Burdy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Purdy of Castleton.
• At commencement exercises may 12 at Mary Washington College, Lyle David Brooks received a Bachelor of Science degree in math, physics and computer science. Brooks is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Brooks of Boston.
• Karen L. Hutchinson of Sperryville also received a Bachelor of Science - degree in biology from Mary Washington. Hutchinson will attend graduate school at the University of South Carolina Medical School. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Hutchinson of Sperryville.
Bobby “Dale” Gehringer II received the “Kemper History Award” in Boggs Chapel at Randolph Macon Academy during the graduation ceremony May 27. Cadet Gehringer also received the chemistry award for excellence.
Gehringer is a rising senior. He is on the President’s School list for the year ending ’83-’84, which means he mnintninn n rvAint
