The following area students received honors, according to press releases from their schools.
Lindsey W. Eastham was the first student named to the first President’s List at James Madison University for the spring semester of 1963-84. To make the President’s List, a student has to achieve an academic average of 3.75 or above. Eastham is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Eastham of Washington.
Three students from Rappahannock County attending Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VPI) made the dean’s list during the spring quarter.
To make the dean’s list at VPI, a student has to average 3.4 or better.
The students and their majors are:
• Thomas H. Eastham, sophomore, mechanical engineering. Eastham is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Eastham of Flint Hill.
