Sherry She ads, 7, who will enter third grade this fall, was crowned carnival queen by LaTayna Martin, last year’s carnival queen and this year’s first runner-up.
Miss Sheads is the daughter of Donna and Randy Sheads of Rixeyville.
Carnival queen second runner-up was Shelley Jeffries; third runner-up was Becky Cordani.
Tiffany Burke, 13, who will enter eighth grade at Rappahannock High, became Miss Honorary Fire Chief, and will represent the firefighters at parades.
Miss Burke was crowned by '83 Miss Honorary Fire Chief, Tammy Jolliffe. Miss Burke is the daughter of Vicki Fletcher of Amissville. Her father is William Burke.
First runner-up in the Miss Honorary Fire Chief competition was Missy Sheffield; second runner-up was Tracy Clark.
