FmHA in Virginia is served by 51 county offices and seven district offices throughout the state. These offices are listed in the phone directory that serves vour area.
Mr. Godsey said, "Considering the number of programs, the service and supervision the field staff has to provide to the public, I am pleased at the accomplishment the Agency has made in Virginia. County office personnel have two m^jor programs to administer, primarily the Farmer Program and the Housing Program. Our 260 fiilltime staff members are doing a tremendous job in all programs to meet the needs of the citisens of Virginia. As in any business, a manager has to make tough decisions as to what area receives priority. These decisions are not always popular, but I believe they are fair.”
Statistics show that Virginia has provided assistance to rural Virginia in all of its programs. In the Farm Loan program, during the period October 1988 to May 1984, FmHA dosed 588 emergency loans totaling 117,262,000.
