Diane and Roger Kidwell of Flint Hill filed a demurrer in response to one of two suits brought against them by Patricia Sal tons tall of Points of View Farm in Flint Hill. The suits were filed on November 7, and the Kidwells filed the demurrer on November 27 in response to the wrongful death suit.
The wrongful death suit was filed by Saltonstall on behalf of the estate of Ranee Spellman, foreman of Points of View Farm during a right of way dispute between the Kidwells and Saltonstall in 1982. Spellman was shot by Diane Kidwell on November 9, 1982, and she was found not guilty of murder by reason of self defense in 1983.
Saltonstall is the person designated in Spellman’s will to administer the estate, and she asks in the wrongful death suit for $750,000 damages for the estate and Spellman's brother, Boyd. The demurrer filed by the Kidwells is a denial that the allegations of the suit, even if true, would legally
