‘Clash Of The Music Makers9 The “Clash of the Music Makers” will be held Saturday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Members of the high school band and chorus will compete in a variety of athletic events including relay races, basketball, volleyball, a tug of war, ping pong and an obstacle course. A $1.50 admission will be charged at the door.

Sculpture Exhibit An exhibit of the sculpture of Huntly Artist Nathalie Lewis will continue through Dec. 8 at the Middle Street Gallery. These beautiful stone and wood carvings and bronzes can be seen on Thursday from 10-6 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10-8 p.m.; and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.

County-Wide Homemaker Club May Begin If you are interested in joining a county-wide Extension Homemaker Club call the Extension office at 675-3619 or Helen Gutherie at 987-8803. Plans are to meet during the day. This is open to all people regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, handicap or political affiliation.

Turkey Ridge Run II The Second Annual Turkey Ridge Run II 7.1 mile race will take place on Saturday, December 1, at 11 a.m. Registration on race day is $7, and will be accepted no later than 10:30 the morning of the race.

Pesticide Recertification You can recertify your pesticide license by attending the recertification session at the Courthouse in Washington on Friday, December 7, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Two slide, sets will be shown and you will answer a short quiz afterwards.

If you cannot make this date, Madison County will have their recertification on December 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial Building in Madison. Anyone is welcome to attend this session.

Trip To Colonial Williamsburg Planned Fauquier County Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a trip by chartered bus to Colonial Williamsburg on Saturday, December 15. TTie bus will leave from Fauquier High School at 7 a.m. and will return to Fauquier High at approximately 9:30 p.m. Participants will be on their own in Williamsburg to explore the restored area or shop until meeting the bus for the return trip. Information on special Christmas events in Williamsburg will be available on the trip. Cost of the trip is $14 and registration is limited to the first 38 to register and pay at Parks and Recreation, 14 Main Street, Warrenton. For more information call 3478630.
