Randall Updike has been on the School Board for two years, and he takes his work on the Board seriously. He is Hampton District’s representative, and he is pleased with what the Board has done in the two yean he has been a member.
“We have made big strides in the past year as far as the capital outlay program for the high school is concerned which is a great accomplishment for the Board and the county,” Updike said. “The high school renovation and addition will be started next year, thanks to Supervisors and their great cooperation and support on the budget.”
Updike is also proud of the index pay system for the teachers, and the new roof for the elementary school. The most important concern of the Board to Updike, though, is the children themselves.
