To the editor
Regirding the proposed landfill site on Route 621,1 would like to pose, for consideration of the Board of Supervisor! and the citizens of Rappahannock County, the following questions:
1. Is it worth upsetting the balance of nature by placing a sanitary landfill in one of the most scenic and pristine tracts in the county?
2. Is it worth the probable pollution of the Covington and Rush Rivera, the adjacent large pond, as well as the drinking water for much of the surrounding community?
8. Is it worth endangering our childrens' health, since the proposed site is located less than a mile from the County Elementary School?
4. la H worth the potentially harmfid hazards (vermin, odor, noise, disease) that a landfill will bring to a densely populated area?
6. Is it worth asking county citizens to fond such a Ihrge-acale project without prior public input and without pubbc knowledge of me overall plan?
