Nancy Reeve has been Piedmont District’s representative on the School Board for five years. During that time, she has determined certain areas in education that are important to her and that she thinks the School Board can try to make a difference in. One of those areas is parental involvement in the school system.
"Parents tend to get less involved hi the schools as their children get older,” Reeve said. "Children can’t wait for their parents to become involved since before long school days are over and parents have missed that chance.” Reeve sees the encouragement of parental involvement as a crucial part of a responsive school system.
