James Owdy Williams, 92, of Strasburg, died Monday, December 10 in Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday at Strasburg United Methodist Church by the Rev. Michael Browder. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg.

Mr. Williams was born May 26, 1892, in Rappahannock County, son of the late Arch and Lucy Hall Williams. Prior to retirement, he was a laborer for the town of Strasburg. He was a member of Strasburg United Methodist Church and an World War I Army veteran. His wife was the late Kathryn Mayhew Williams.

Surviving are a son, John Williams of Strasburg; two daughters, Lucille Williams and Dorothy L. Williams, both of Strasburg; two sisters, Jessie Robinson and Sandy Williams, both of Strasburg; a brother, Douglas Williams of Strasburg; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Stover Funeral Home in Strasburg was in charge of the arrangements.
