Willis spends as much time as possible on the site as the work progresses. “I work days, nights and weekends trying not to inconvenience the clients,” Willis said. “I am totally responsible for the other people and their work so I stick with good workers.”

Willis has done everything from one room to four houses for clients, and one of her most unique experiences was decorating a boat. The boat had been purchased by a group of townspeople from Highland Falls, N.Y., and they wanted to convert the boat into a floating restaurant.

“I did the boat in a turn of the century style with gas light look alikes and etched glass,” Willis said. The boat operates out of New York City, and has been so successful' that there are plans to add another boat to the business. Willis has been asked to decorate the new addition, but she considers her first boat project to be her last.

Willis believes the boat project was her most frustrating because of the inconsistency of volunteer help and the difficulties with working on a floating object. "One time the tide rose while we were working, and I had to climb over the rail and drop down to the
