Council members asked about other problems like noisy dogs, and bow the ordinances could address that. Eldred suggested that there are other forms of noise in the town besides dogs that could be covered in a peace ordinance.
The council decided to look for an ordinance on dogs already passed for Washington so that additions can be considered. The council will also consider a peace ordinance, and Mayor Kramer said that he would ask the Sheriffs Department for more patrolling of the town.
On a motion made by Miller, the council voted to have a resolution expressing the town’s gratitude for the work of the late Thurman Whorton written and emit to the Whorton family. Whorton worked for many years on the town’s waterworks.
