There are two buildings already on the lot, so another building would overcrowd the land.”
He said council had to consider whether or not septic fields would be adequate, the potential danger to pedestrian traffic and the historical nature of the Gay Street area.
“An office building in this location would interfere with adjoining land owners’ enjoyment of their properties,” DeJamette said. “Your existing ordinance and the nature of this town go against the special use permit application.”
