Forty-three members and guests attended this luncheon meeting which included several state DAR officers.
Mrs. Metzinger read the invitation from the Fauquier Court House DAR Chapter to the Christmas DAR-SAR banquet to be held at Airlie, Warrenton, Saturday, December 7 at 6:30 p.m. The speaker will be Robert Jacobs, a dedicated historian. The reservation fee of $12.50 must be in by December 1 to Mrs. B.W. Hostrop, Rt. 4 “Mill Run Acres” Warrenton, Va. 22186.
A short service was conducted by Mrs. Woodruff Kearns in memory of Mrs. R.E. Thompson and Mrs. D. W. Kelly each of whom have passed away since the October DAR meeting.
An announcement was made of the State DAR Conference to be held in Richmond in March 1986. Mrs. King, President General NSDAR, will be present to help observe the 90th State Conference anniversary.
