School plans reviewed
Officials from the Clarke County School Board and the Board of Supervisors were scheduled to meet this week to review preliminary plans for a $4.5 million high school.
The School Board was “pleased” with the plans when it reviewed them last week. But the School Board decided to get the supervisors’ comments before sending the plans to state education officials for review.
The governing body has allocated $250,000 to get the planning phase underway, but has yet to authorize construction money for the school. The board has set( $4.5 million as the top limit for the project.
Not yet decided is who will pay for improvements such as water, sewer extensions and widening of a road.
