“Dr. Krebser has improved the town in the past, and I’m surprised he would want to crowd something in this way,” Ms. Young said. “I’m concerned about the building’s possible future uses.”
A town resident, Robin Purnell, said the town looks well-planned and idyllic now. “This council has to decide how the town can be maintained the way it is,” she said.
John Norman, who lives beside Dr. Krebser’s Merrill Building, said Dr. Krebser was a helpful and good neighbor.
“As far as any danger from traffic, it seems to me that the present location of the welfare office is more dangerous to the public,” Norman said. “They’re having to back out on a highway right now.”
