Museum of
fine arts’ ball
Tickets are still available at $75 . per person for a gala benefit ball in/ the pink-marble central hall of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ new West Wing, capping dedication day ceremonies Dec. 3.
The $22 million wing will house internationally-significant collections of European and American art given to the Virginia Museum, of Fine Arts by Sydney and Frances Lewis of Richmond and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mellon of Upperville, who also shared in the cost of constructing the addition.
The dance will follow a gala, catered dinner in the wing earlier that evening. Tickets to the dinner quickly sold out and are no longer available.
Food at the 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. dance will be prepared by Glorious Food, the New York and Washington, D.C., firm which last January, catered President Reagan’s inaugural luncheon.
