Scholte had been forced out of her party executive’s job earlier when Dr. Alfred Cramer of Culpeper was ousted from the State Central Committee chairmanship by • party' conservatives. Cramer had appointed Scholte to the party executive director’s post.

There will, however, be no shortage of insurgents at the “advance.” Many of those appear to have been associated in varying degrees with 8th District Congressman Stanford Parris’s abortive gubernatorial candidacy. They complained bitterly about the nomination of unsuccessful candidate Wyatt B. Durrette and especially abut the way the management of the Durrette campaign appeared to have been virtually turned over to former Gov. Mills E. Godwin and the independent conservative coalition.
Thus, the dissidents will arrive at Ingleside loaded for bear, with a batch of resolutions which, at the very least, is guaranteed to shake the party to its roots.
