Regulations

Hunting seasons for various game have opened recently or will open in the next few weeks in Rap, pahannock. Following is a list of seasons and general regulations for each animal:

Deer — Season opens Nov. 18 ,,.fuid ends Jan. 4. Limits are one deer ‘ per day and two per Ucense year. Ei, ther sex may be taken during the rs last 12 hunting days. All bucks must ' have antlers visible above the hair ,rRneBear

— Season opens Nov. 25 and closes Jan. 4. Limited to one bear per license year. The bear must l®%e at least 100 pounds at live weight or 75 pounds dressed weight. Femals with cubs may not be killed.

Turkey — Season opened Nov. 4 and ends Dec. 31. Limits are on turkey per day and two per license year. Either sex may be killed in the fall. Turkeys cannot be hunted with electric callers.

Quail — Season opens Nov. 25 and ends Feb. 28. Limits are eight per day and 125 per license year.

Rabbit — Season opened Nov. 4 and closes Jan.31. Limits are six per day and 75 per Ucense year.

Squirrel — Season opened Nov. 4 and closes Jan. 31. Limits are six per day and 75 per license year.

Rappahannock Game Warden Jim Bankston reminds bow hunters in the county that archery hunting U„ censes expired Nov. 9. The licenses are vaUd in a special archery season area west of the Blue Ridge Mountains from Dec.2 to Jan.4.
