A plan by the SPTA to erect a 26 square foot sign in front of the Rappahannock County Elementary School ran into opposition from members of the BZA. The sign exceeds the permitted measure of 20 square feet. No representative from the SPTA appeared before the BZA at the February 26 meeting. Action on the sign, which has already been constructed, will be delayed until the next BZA meeting.
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department was given a permit to construct an additional bay at the side of the existing building. The addition would be used for washing, maintenance and repair of the fire trucks.
Chris Bird was granted a permit to build a second building, to be used as his residence, on Horseshoe Hollow Farm.
