Graveside services were conducted by Rev. Milton Switzer at 1 p.m. February 26,1986, in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Woodville.
Pallbearers were Charles Butler, Raymond Dellinger, Nicholas Dellinger, Daniel Dellinger, Bemie Jenkins and H. B. Wood.
Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
Waller Burke
Walter Marshall Burke, 85, of Woodville, died Thursday, February 27, 1986, at his residence.
Mr. Burke was born March 7, 1900, in Rappahannock County, son of James and Sarah Dodson Burke. He was a farmer and a member of Five Forks Regular Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha Frances Nethers Burke; two sons, Robert Marshall Burke and Richard W. Burke, both of Woodville; a brother, Weldon Burke of Woodville, and two grandsons.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 2, at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by the Rev. Hoover Heflin and the Rev. Carl Menefee. Burial was in Washington Masonic Cemetery in Washington.
Pallbearers were Jerry Burke, Richard Burke II, Ennis A. Norman, Kinsey B. Whorton, K. P. Grigsby, James H. Falls, George Ashby Nethers and Hayward Whorton.
Emory Rodgers
Emory Otterbein Rodgers, 66, of Amissville, died Saturday, March 1, 1986, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Rodgers was bom March 2, 1919, in Boyce, son of the late Hyrtle and Cornelia Long Rodgers. A retired Winchester Police Department sergeant, he was a member of the Winchester Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Winchester Moose Lodge and the Izaak Walton League. He attended the Presbyterian Church.
