In the second gameof the’ toimiMment, Wakefield faced Emmanuel in the consolation match to determine third place in the tournament.
With the start of the second half, an eleven point Wakefield lead slowly began to dwindle. After scoring only eight in the third quarter, Wakefield lost its lead mid-way through the final period. However, with the game tied late in the quarter, the Owls were able to complete six straight free throws to capture a 48-44 victory.
With this final game, Wakefield captured the third place trophy for the tournament. In addition, David Rowzie of Amissville was named a first team All-Tournament Selection while Larry Tarr of Warrenton and Nick Longerbeam of Berryville were named second team All-Tournament.
