James Hawkins
James Thomas Hawkins, 70, of Castleton died Tuesday, February 25, 1986, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hawkins, a native of Rappahannock County, was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church at Amiss ville.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Catherine Corbin Hawkins; six daughters, Josephine Pickett of Amissville, Pauline Grigsby of Culpeper, Mary Knicely of Fredericksburg, Hazel Haines of Manassas, Shirley Hitt of Castleton and Lois Alther of Rixeyville; two sons, Charlie Hawkins and William Hawkins, both of Castleton; 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors include a brother, Orie Hawkins of White Post, and two sisters, Mary Ashby Alexander of Alexandria and Sarah Frances Heflin of Front Royal.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, February 27, at GeestJohnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by Rev. Clyde Woodard. Burial was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens at Jeffersonton.
Pallbearers were Hugh Lee Grigsby, Stewart Hitt, Roger Pickett, Ronnie Pickett, Ricky Haines and Kenny Haines.
Jacob Harrison Sisk
Jacob Harrison Sisk, 86, died Saturday, February 22, 1986, in the Mount Vernon Hospital, Alexandria. He was a retired carpenter.
A native of Rappahannock, Mr. Sisk was born July 6, 1899, son of James Aubrey and Adele Frazier Sisk. He lived in the Scrabble-Woodville area for many years.
His wife Addie May Butler Fincham Meade Sisk predeceased him.
He is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Sisk Dellinger of Alexandria and Scrabble; one son, Gene P. Sisk of Scrabble; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Sisk Jenkins of Boston; four grandsons; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.
